Senior Software Engineer, Functional Safety
I am looking for a Senior Software Engineer for my client's team. As a Senior Software Engineer, Functional Safety, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the ever-evolving EV market. On a typical day, you'll create new and improve existing software while also planning, documenting and communicating on safety related software in our most important projects, making a direct impact on our mission to revolutionize transportation.
In this role you will,
* Lead functional safety related software development
* Work mostly on microcontrollers such as STM32, but also on higher level embedded Linux on a distributed system
* Communicate actively with 3rd party testing companies, internal project managers and HW designers
* Working model is hybrid. In this role, occasional visits to our office in Lahti are expected. You can find offices also in Helsinki, Tampere and Vaasa.
WHAT HELPS YOU SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE
* Proven track record of software design and development according to IEC 61508 and/or UL1998 (or similar functional safety standard)
Knowledge and understanding of:
* C and C++ programming
* Microcontrollers (eg. STM32)
* GIT version control
* Real-time Operating Systems (RTOS)
* Static code analysis tools
* Linux operating system (Yocto)
* Hardware test equipment: oscilloscope, logic analyzer
* Reading a schematic
* Data structures
* Team player mentality and collaborative mindset with a strong sense of teamwork, active knowledge sharing, and seamless cross-functional cooperation.
* Proactive and problem-solving approach to seek solutions and drive progress independently
* Ability and willingness to work in a growing and evolving company and the EV Charging industry with developing processes and ways of working
* Communication and presentation skills to effectively manage software safety features together with internal and external stakeholders.
