I am looking for a motivated, enthusiastic seeking a motivated, enthusiastic Embedded Software Developer to join SAAB Finland's team which develops safety-critical avionics equipment for both military and civil platforms in Tampere office. You’ll be part of a supportive and forward-thinking engineering organization where your voice matters and will have the opportunity to work on challenging and rewarding projects.
Role
As a member of our growing software team, candidates will actively participate in the architecture, design, implementation, test and integration of mission critical software.
SAAB specializes in advanced sensor and safety technologies, next-generation radars, airport automation, simulation and modeling, navigation technologies, decision support tools, and concepts of operation. SAAB serves a global client base including national and international governments and industries in air defense, air traffic management, and airline and airport operations management. SAAB solutions are deployed in over 35 countries across 6 continents.
Needed:
* You have relevant education and work experience in software engineering / computer systems / embedded systems field.
* You are an expert in C/C++ and have solid understanding of embedded systems.
* You have experience with embedded operating systems like Linux and ideally also with RTOS.
* Being comfortable with agile software development processes is expected.
* You have experience with Yocto (or some other system building tool).
* You are a team player and active collaborator, with passion to make great things happen with a team.
Additional know-how that is greatly appreciated but individual bullets are not blockers:
* Digital signal processing or radar application know-how
* Knowledge about FPGA platforms
* (Hardware interfaces and communication protocols)
* Familiarity with tools like JTAG debuggers, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers
